A Litter of String, Pig Pen Project, Mayfair, 2014

Pig Pen Artist Statement:

The strings in the Pig Pen piece are the remnants of the paintings I have made over the last several years.  The Pig Pen project has allowed me to explore the string in a new way.  I have created a curtain to look at and through.  Each string becomes a line as in a drawing.  Color is at the periphery of identity.

A group of pigs is called drove of pigs, herd of pig or litter of pigs. A group of pigs can also be collective known as farrow though it is often used to refer to a group of piglets while sounder of pigs is a term given to a group of wild pigs.
